Senior Investment Manager (Foreign Funding)

The Senior Investment Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Ulaanbaatar Hot, Mongolia. This role is responsible for leading the development and execution of investment strategies across multiple asset classes, aligned with Netcapital’s risk appetite and growth objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting in-depth financial and market analysis, evaluating new investment opportunities, managing and optimizing existing portfolios, and preparing investment proposals and reports for senior leadership. The Senior Investment Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior investment staff, and contribute to the enhancement of internal investment frameworks, tools, and governance. The role also involves regular monitoring of portfolio performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting strategic initiatives related to digital and AI-driven financial products.

• Strong expertise in investment management and hands-on experience managing diversified investments. • Proficiency in developing and implementing investment strategies tailored to risk and return objectives. • Advanced analytical skills for financial modeling, valuation, risk assessment, and performance monitoring. • Solid foundation in finance, including capital markets, portfolio theory, and corporate finance. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are highly beneficial. • Demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions and communicate complex insights clearly to stakeholders. • Experience in emerging markets or financial institutions, ideally in Mongolia or similar environments. • Strong collaboration, leadership, and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide junior team members. • High level of integrity and commitment to responsible, inclusive, and long-term value creation. • Excellent written and spoken English with strong negotiation and presentation skills. • Strong leadership, communication, project-management, and research abilities.
